End of the Year!!

I cannot believe it’s already May, and the kids have a half day left!!  I have been blessed with such sweet students this year!  I’m going to miss all of them.   Remember, tomorrow is Autograph Day!  Wear an old tshirt that is okay for kids to sign.  Students may check out anytime after 9:30.  It’s also an early release day.  Intermediate gets out at 12:00 noon.   I am putting the slide show code down below so if you would like to watch it again, you can!  I hope everyone has a wonderful summer!

March 25th-29th

Hello everyone!

It’s been awhile since my last post but it’s crazy how fast time flies!   We started our last 9 weeks of school last Monday!   Here’s a couple of things you need to know!

Field Trip – Jefferson, April 17th;  A letter was sent home last Thursday.  There is a permission slip for parents to sign and the total cost for students to ride the boats and wagons is $10.00.  It must be cash!  No checks please!  Parents, you are welcome to come and walk with us, shop with us, and eat lunch with us.  Students may be checked out with a parent to ride home with them.

Wednesday, March 27th – Math Benchmark – Students may bring water bottles, mints, and a snack.

Thursday, March 28th – Reading Benchmark – Students may bring water bottles, mints, and a snack.   PLEASE, no outside lunches on these days.

April 9th – 4th grade Writing STAAR Test!!Image result for writing test

WELCOME BACK!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Welcome back students!   It’s going to be a great semester!  It’s hard to believe we are in a new year, and I know we will all blink and May will be here.   I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas, and my prayer is that you will have a healthy and happy new year!   

Here are a few things coming up:

Tomorrow begins the 3rd 9 weeks:  There will be no reading logs this week, but they will start again on Monday, January 14th.  Students are still required to read their 20 minutes at night.  Parents, please sign their planners for me to show they read.  Students earn tickets for your signature, but also get a mark if their planners are not signed.Image result for reading clip art  So, please have them read, and don’t forget to help them by signing your name!

Wednesday, January 9th – MATH BENCHMARK!

Thursday, January 10th – READING BENCHMARK!   **Students may bring a healthy snack and a water bottle for both days of testing.   Also, on Thursday, report cards will go home.

Wednesday, January 23rd – EARLY RELEASE TODAY! 12:00 for Intermediate students – Faculty PLC day.

The Christmas party is tomorrow at 9:00.   IF you are helping to set up please arrive by 8:30.  Tell the office you are here to help set up for the party!   The party will end at 10:00, and students are welcome to leave with parents.  I will have a sign out sheet.  The kids are looking forward to tomorrow!  Thank you so much to all of you for your help!  Prayers that all of you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!  Have a wonderful break!

School will resume on January 7, 2019!

Christmas Party!

Hi there everyone!

It is so hard to believe, but it’s time to discuss the Christmas party.   I need at least two people to help with our class party! Our party is not fancy at all!   If you’re interested could you send me an email?   Also, I’m having trouble with “Remind”.   I am not getting messages for some reason, so if you have sent one, I apologize that I have not responded.

November 12th -16th

No reading logs this week.   Please sign the planner to show your child read their 20 minutes.

Big Kahuna party bus is WEDNESDAY, the 14th.  More info should come home tomorrow for those students who sold 15 items.

Big Kahuna delivery Thursday – 2:00 to 5:30.  Please make arrangements to pick up your items if your child sold more than two items.   

Next week we are out to celebrate Thanksgiving and enjoy time with our families!  I hope you all have a wonderful week and a very Happy Thanksgiving!

November 5th – 9th

Wow!  Happy November everyone!

I cannot believe we will be celebrating Thanksgiving in a couple of weeks!!  It’s crazy how fast time flies.  Here’s a couple of things for this week!

Reading logs will come home tomorrow – please continue to have your child read their 20 minutes nightly.  

Wednesday look for your child’s binder to come home to be signed.

Thursday is Library Day!

I do need your help with one thing:  Please send a white poster board by Thursday of this week.  You can find these at Dollar General, Fred’s, and even Brookshire’s.  There will be more information coming home soon on what the kids will be doing for Thanksgiving!  It’s a fun project!!
