SPRING IS HERE!!
Hello Parents,
It’s so hard to believe Spring is here!! That leads me to let you know a few things:
First our Easter party is this week. It will be Thursday, April 5th at 1:00 p.m. Each of you should have received a letter with your checked item to send or bring to the party. We will be playing a game and serving ice cream sundaes. All students are free to leave with their parents as soon as the party ends! Hope to see you there!!
Also, Thursday, April 5th ends our fifth six weeks of school. That means only one six weeks left. Just around the corner will be the STAAR Math and Reading Tests. More information will come later regarding that. Reports cards will go out April 13th.
The SOPHOMORE class is having a fundraiser April 14th. They are showing the movie Courageous on the football field. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and the whole family to enjoy this event. Tickets are $5.00. You can purchase them in the Intermediate office, or you can purchase them at the gate. The concession stand will be open to enjoy snacks and drinks. Show time is 7:30 p.m. Please help support this group of students! Much thanks is appreciated!
Spring Fever!!!!!
Hello Parents!!
February is here and students are looking forward to Valentine’s Day! Students have been asked to make a box/sack and have it to school by Feb. 13th. Also, each student needs to make sure every classmate receives a valentine. You should be seeing a note coming home with a list of every student in the class. The students can also bring their favorite drink on Valentine’s Day. We will be doing lots of different activities throughout the day , so they will stay very busy. At the end of the day, students will open valentines and enjoy reading them
Also, the end of the 4th six weeks is February 17th. Report cards will go out the following week, February 23rd.
February 20th is a student holiday!!
Next, right around the corner is SPRING!!! Boy, are they ready!!!
Spring Break will be March 12-16th
Easter Break is Friday April 6th – Good Friday – No school!!!! We will have a meeting at a later date to discuss the Easter party.
Please continue to work on math facts, and read at home!!!
End of 1st Six Weeks!!
Hello everyone!
It’s so hard to believe the first six weeks of school has come and gone. Just wanted to let you know report cards will go out next Thursday, October 6th, and also you will get their papers from the first six weeks.
Also, be on the lookout for a parent conference form coming home. My conference day is October 13th.
Starting this six weeks in Math we will be working on multiplication. Students must memorize all their facts through 12′s. We are still working on our novel in reading, A Paradise Called Texas. It is a great book that ties in with our Social Studies.
Hopefully, now that FALL has arrived we will feel some cooler weather!! Looking forward to a great second six weeks.
